USA vs. Argentina: Before It Went Down

They need to let Coach TSG in the lockeroom! Pause this video at precisely the 15-second mark.

It shows the white paper (board) with drawings of the US defense against Argentina in attack.

Besides it looking a lot like TSG’s diagrams, notice how Bob Bradley and company expected Lavezzi to line-up against Jonathan Spector. You have to believe that DiMaria–who plays a lot on the left for Real Madrid–would line-up against Jonathan Spector.

Of course, I don’t know what’s on the next sheet. Coach Sweats spot-on with movement at half of course.

Love seeing the field level view, because:

    1. This level is blazing fast.
    2. The vision of the guy with orange boots is even more impressive from his view
    3. Bocanegra bossing people off the ball! Missed that.
    4. Timmy is 3 times the tiger when you’re looking up at him.

Love the field level. Tim Howard looked even more impressive at closeup full speed. Monster performance.

Mascherano looked like even more of a p-.

Bob with the “we’ve got to figure out how to score a goal now!”…nice.

  3. I can tell you that standing behind the end line watching the Argentina attack coming right at you is a terrifying thing. You get a whole new appreciation for just how fast these athletes think and move.
