    Our heirarchy:

    1) PSG
    2) Tottenham…and then England team in some capacity.
    3) LA and then MLS owner…

And where, pray tell, does Mr. Beckham fit at PSG?

It doesn’t matter where he fits. They are Man City 2.0 and want the Beckham brand.

Have to agree here. He’ll play a deep-lying CM and play about 50% of the time through the end of the campaign. Or so my mind believes.

Between Matuidi, Bodmer, and now Sissoko there really aren’t a whole lot of minutes to go around in the deep-lying midfield area at PSG. Beckham sure isn’t taking minutes from Pastore, Nene, or Menez either.

Also, we make a big deal about Dempsey not moving his family from London as he’s established there, etc etc, why not the same for the little Beckhams? Aren’t the kids at about the age of being settled in school?

Would the Beckhams leave LA? My guess is they would stay in LA because he won’t be playing for PSG for more than a year and a half. Do they even live in LA full time now?

The Beckhams actually seek celebrity, and moving to another one of the major cities in world is their MO imo. Plus, the French A-list will be waiting at CDG with their little welcome baskets filled with Camembert, Pinot Noir and erm, Herb de Provence…

Not sure the same would happen for Dempsey, although he probably wouldn’t want that either.

Plus, they have the super agents and the management company to take care of everything. Everything. If you’ve ever moved countries, you’ll know it’s not that easy.

Fair point. If memory serves, they did remain in LA while he was galavanting across Milan.

  2. He’ll move to PSG and try to win a trophy in a fourth country.

He’ll try to win a trophy this year then play one last hurrah season in the Champions League next year.

  3. I still think it is Paris or Bust. If he doesn’t want to go to Paris, he can stay in LA and I will take his place.

  4. He appears to be frenching that trophy, so I’m going with Paris.

Why doesn’t Beckham sign with the Galaxy for one year with the condition that he be loaned out to PSG in January. He can win a championship with PSG on loan, come back to the Galaxy in June, and help then defend the MLS championship in the fall.

I can see him wanting a break rather than going on loan (he is injured right now), and rumor has it that he wants to play in CCL. It would be prestigious to a) earn a treble for the Galaxy, and b) win the CCL and be the first MLS team to go to the Club World Cup – which he could potentially play in.

He could sign with LA for 6 months to carry them through CCL, hit the August transfer window and depart for PSG as well.

I disagree with the ranking a little bit, I think it’s:

      1) PSG
      2) Stay in LA

I don’t think there’s a third option. He has said in multiple interviews now and recently that he will not play for another EPL team. Plus, I can see him wanting to expand to Paris before going back to England.

So ultimately, I think it’s PSG or LA. 50/50 right now.

And I’m super proud of the Galaxy for the win. Basking.
